I started coaching for Moore Performance… after my 2012 Port Macquarie Half Iron Man (October 2012).
I like coaching because … I love seeing people progress from point A to B and hopefully beyond!
My favourite training motivational quote is …. pain is only temporary, quitting is not an option.
My training approach is … inspired by Dr Maffetone’s training philosophy to life and endurance training.
My ironman stats are … 14 Half Iron Mans (maybe more) and 3 Full Iron Man triathlons.
My favourite ride/run is … any ride involving a sunrise and where I don’t come off the bike. I just love running and especially MAF (Maffetone runs) where my heart rate is relatively low.
My next goal race is … Busselton Ironman in December 2017.
My favourite pre race meal is … currently bacon, vegetable and egg cups with some seed crackers and avocado.
My favourite post race meal is …. a vegetable omelette with cheddar cheese and some homemade chocolate. I actually sat with John Hill in the recovery tent in my last Ironman chatting whilst drinking some pumpkin soup. That worked well. Even Hilly liked it!
I’m fanatical about … nutrition and even did an 18 month experiment with respect to it for my last Ironman in May 2017.
