We were back in Nowra for one of our favourite events of the year with the annual state TTT champs. We took the short trip south to Nowra to take on the 41km Team Time Trial aka the TTT. This year we had 4 female teams and 2 male teams having a crack, giving it a nudge but really doing it for some fun. TTT at a decent level require lots and lots of practice but in some cases the day was the first time a couple of the teams got together for the first time, so it was just about having some fun.
Personally I usually enjoy this event but this year I wasn’t going to be in a team after a long injury, but I got drafted into a very fast team on Wednesday before the event so I knew it wasn’t going to be a very pleasant experience trying to hang on.
To make thing interesting I put together a handicap to help award points towards my annual point score champs.
The course was 2km longer than last years 39km, so predicted times were out, but they all did super well.
Again it was a fantastic weekend and was so much fun seeing the girls have a ball. We will be back next year with new and old faces and really giving it a nudge. Bigger and better in 2019.
