RIDE CAPTAIN

Name – Nick Young

Nickname – Pistol Pete or Latino Heat

How long have you been riding or riding with MP? – Proud to be an inaugural member of MP

What got you into cycling – We were living in Vancouver in 2010 and one of our friends asked us to do the Kelowna Sprint Triathlon with him. That got me into triathlon, which I loved.

Do you compete – I have done many sprints, olympics, 70.3’s and four Ironmans. When Isabelle was born I switched to cycling and enjoyed crit racing and in the last couple of years have concentrated on getting myself fit for Bondi2Berry and this years Bondi2Brighton ride!

Favorite ride/race – Husky long course (and more recently Husky sprint!), and Port Mac Ironman

Favorite post ride snack – Peanut butter on toast, and a kids size choc smoothie with shot of coffee in it

Something interesting about you – I hold the Ellen Street World Record for drinking 5 yaegar bombs

What’s your favourite thing about training with MP? – The great balance of hydration during training and rehydration after! With great people and great banter.
